The Uganda Air Transport Safety Engineering Association (UGATSEA) is the premier professional body representing aviation engineers under the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Uganda. Established in 1996, UGATSEA is dedicated to enhancing the quality of aviation engineering through advocacy, professional development, and promoting high standards of safety in the aviation industry.
As an affiliate of the International Federation of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Associations (IFATSEA), UGATSEA connects local aviation engineers to a global network of professionals, fostering the exchange of ideas, best practices, and technical expertise. Our membership comprises engineers from the Directorate of Air Navigation Services (DANS), Directorate of Airport and Aviation Security (DAAS), and the Directorate of Safety, Security, and Economic Regulation (DSSER), bringing together a diverse group of professionals committed to advancing the aviation sector.

- Facilitate the exchange of information and ideas among members and similar associations globally.
- Form and foster relationships with professional bodies at the national, regional, and international levels, including IFATSEA, UIPE, and others.
- Act as the voice of Air Transport Safety Engineers in CAA Uganda, advocating for their professional needs and recognition.
- Provide a platform for discussions on emerging technologies and engineering challenges within Civil Aviation.
- Organize educational lectures and workshops to broaden the technical knowledge and skills of our members.
